I began painting the garden series in 2002. It is what triggered my joy of painting and love for large canvases as the first of the series was created on a four x five foot canvas. The series has evolved over the years from gardens to flowers, to abstracted flowers and after a 2 year break I began to paint these small red flowers on tiny 5" x 7" canvases a very different interpretation than it started with.
