The idea for this series came to me in December of 2007. I began to experiment with different mediums and papers, chemicals and textures. I began working a lot with copper leafing and really became the birth of abstract painting for me. This body of work is where my philosophy of art speaking directly to the heart began. Before this my work was expressed mostly through colour regardless of the style. This body of work became a message of the heart for me. It is a pure expression and abandonement of myself in my pieces.
